On September 12 and 13, 2025, LeGrand had the honor of exhibiting at the Garden of Quilts event—a celebration of creativity, craftsmanship, and the vibrant quilting community. Surrounded by breathtaking quilts and passionate makers, we were excited to showcase our collection of precision scissors designed to make fabric cutting smoother, easier, and more enjoyable.
What Quilters Loved Most
The top seller at our booth was the Premium Series 8″ Dressmaking Scissors. Many quilters already owned a 10″ pair for large fabric cuts, but the 8″ proved to be the perfect companion for smaller, more controlled cuts. Visitors had the chance to test them on thick denim, and many were amazed at how effortlessly they sliced through multiple layers—leading to many happy purchases.
For beginners starting their quilting journey, the 11″ Dressmaking Scissors were especially popular. With their long blades, they make it easy to cut large pieces with precision and speed, reducing fatigue for new quilters.
Quilting-Specific Tools in Demand
As expected at a quilting event, the Precision Serrated Quilting Scissors ranked as the second-best seller. Their fine micro-serrated blades grip fabric securely, preventing slippage during multi-layer cutting—an essential feature for quilt-making.
Surprisingly, our Aramid Fiber Scissors, typically designed for ultra-strong technical fabrics, also became a favorite. With shorter curved blades and a comfortable grip, they offered quilters an even higher level of precision. Many attendees appreciated their smooth cutting action and found them well worth the investment, even at a higher price point.
