Shaping a tiny clay petal with a knife can mean putting it down, cutting, picking it up, checking the shape, and starting again.

Clay and Dough Scissors give you another way to work. You can keep a small piece in your hand, see the form as it develops, and trim directly into the shape with short, controlled cuts.

A little off the edge. A small cut between petals. A final trim to bring a leaf or miniature detail into shape. These are small adjustments, but they can make a noticeable difference in the finished piece.

The narrow blades are designed for fine clay craft, giving you a slim cutting profile for trimming, dividing, and refining small forms. Instead of using a clay blade or craft knife for every adjustment, scissors let you approach three-dimensional pieces from different angles and remove a little material at a time.

That is also what separates these scissors from ordinary general-purpose craft scissors. Around a small clay form, a wider blade can get in the way of seeing and reaching the exact area you want to trim. The slim blades keep the cutting action closer to the detail.

They are especially useful for clay flowers, petals, leaves, miniature decorations, small sculptural details, and other soft clay or dough work where the final shape develops through a series of precise cuts.

Choose the standard Clay and Dough Scissors for general clay shaping and trimming. If you regularly work with softer or tackier materials that tend to cling to the blade surface, the Non-Stick version is designed specifically for that additional problem.
