Japanese Curved Thread Snips for Sewing – Blue Super Steel 4"
Made for embroidery, thread trimming, and detailed sewing work, these compact Japanese thread snips have a curved blade designed for working close to the fabric.
The gently raised cutting edge makes it easier to trim threads near the surface while helping keep the blade away from the fabric underneath. This makes the shape especially useful for embroidery and other detailed needlework where a loose thread may need to be cut without disturbing the surrounding work.
At about 4.1 inches overall with a 1.81-inch blade, the snips stay compact in the hand while the longer curved cutting edge gives a little more reach than a typical short-blade pair.
The blades are made with Yasuki Blue Super Steel, a Japanese high-carbon steel valued for hardness, wear resistance, and lasting cutting performance. Combined with the specialized curved shape, it gives this small pair a very different character from conventional straight thread snips.
