These 5-inch Japanese thread snips are for makers who like a little more room in the hand without giving up the close control of a short blade.

The 1.77-inch blade stays close to the work for trimming loose threads and thread ends throughout sewing, embroidery, quilting, and handwork. Compared with the 4-inch version, the larger overall size simply gives the traditional form a little more presence in the hand.
