These traditional Japanese thread snips pair a bright polished finish with a short blade made for close, frequent thread trimming.

At 5 inches overall, they have a little more presence in the hand than a compact 4-inch pair. The 1.77-inch short blade still keeps the cutting point close to the work for loose threads, thread ends, and other small trimming jobs.

Traditional laminated construction places blade steel at the cutting edge with softer iron behind it for resilience. It is a simple construction with a clear purpose, bringing two materials together within one compact tool.
