Small Craft Scissors for Detail Cutting – Fine Edge 4"
When the shape gets smaller, ordinary scissors can start to feel much bigger than the work in front of you.
Small paper pieces, narrow borders, tiny corners, and detailed edges often require shorter, more deliberate movements than a general-purpose pair of scissors is designed to make. Simply switching to any small pair of scissors does not necessarily solve the problem—the blade itself still needs to be fine enough to work close to the detail.
Fine Edge Scissors are designed for that kind of close, controlled cutting.
The short blades are thin and taper toward a fine point, keeping the cutting action close to the area you are working on. Small shapes can be approached with shorter movements, and precise trimming can be done without bringing a long, bulky blade into a delicate part of the design.
That makes Fine Edge a versatile choice for everyday papercraft, small shapes, detailed outer edges, precise trimming, and other craft work where control becomes more important as the design gets smaller.
The straight blade is intentional. Fine Edge is the general detail-cutting model of the three LeGrand Detail Scissors: choose it when your main challenge is working accurately at a small scale rather than following pronounced curves or entering extremely small internal cutouts.
And the precision does not end with the blade shape. Each pair is individually adjusted by skilled craftspeople in Japan so the two blades meet properly through the cut.
Fine Edge is not simply a smaller pair of scissors. It is a pair of scissors made around the problem of controlling the cut when the work itself becomes small.
