Some of the hardest parts of intricate paper cutting are not the longest cuts. They are the smallest places where the cut needs to begin.

Ordinary scissors can work well when you can approach a shape from the outside edge of the paper. But internal cutouts, narrow openings, and tiny enclosed details create a different problem: even a small pair of scissors may not help if the tip itself is too broad to enter the starting area.

Super Sharp Edge Scissors are made to solve that problem.

Developed with input from a Japanese paper-cutting artist, this specialized design has one blade tip sharpened to an exceptionally fine point. The pointed tip can enter the paper at a very small starting area, allowing you to begin an internal cut and continue through the design with scissors.

That changes the way intricate paper cutting can be approached. Instead of repeatedly reaching for a craft knife whenever a design moves inside the paper, many delicate internal shapes, narrow negative spaces, and detailed cutouts can be worked directly with the scissors.

The difference is not simply that Super Sharp Edge is small or sharp. Many scissors are both. What matters here is access: the shape of the tip is specifically designed to reach a cutting point that an ordinary scissor tip may not.

Precision at this scale also depends on more than the tip. Scissors cut through the interaction of two blades, and each pair is individually adjusted by skilled craftspeople in Japan so the blades meet properly through the cutting action.

For intricate paper designs where getting into the smallest spaces is often the hardest part, Super Sharp Edge gives you something an ordinary small pair of scissors may not: a way in.
